CXO Bi-Weekly Brief: Enterprise Software Selection Intelligence – Aug ‘26, Ep 5
Aug 14th, 2026 | 1 PM ET
Enterprise software vendors continue to accelerate their investments in AI agents, automation, and embedded intelligence. As a result, enterprise technology platforms are becoming more autonomous and connected. In this CXO briefing, we analyze the latest enterprise software trends and what they mean for technology buyers. First, Certinia acquired Moonnox to strengthen its AI-native services delivery capabilities. Meanwhile, Cleo updated its chargeback prevention solution. Netchex also introduced Mesh, a team of AI HR teammates for the deskless workforce. In addition, Panopto launched new Knowledge Intelligence capabilities. These capabilities aim to unlock more value from enterprise video and organizational knowledge.
At the same time, AI is moving deeper into operational workflows. For example, project44 unveiled a conversational AI supply chain analyst. The solution uses real-time logistics data to support faster supply chain decisions. Meanwhile, TeamViewer and ServiceNow announced a strategic partnership focused on autonomous IT operations. Algolia also introduced Dynamic Facets to improve product discovery. Similarly, Backstory launched Situation Search for revenue intelligence. In addition, CallRail expanded its integrations with Jobber and other home services platforms. Draup also expanded AI-native account research for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales Qualification Agent. Together, these developments highlight the growing role of AI in enterprise workflows, sales, supply chain management, IT operations, and customer experience.
Finally, enterprise AI vendors are increasing their focus on AI governance, orchestration, and specialized AI agents. Observe.AI expanded its collaboration with AWS to accelerate AI agents for customer experience. Meanwhile, BlackLine announced the general availability of Verity Prepare for AI-enabled finance operations. Fenergo also introduced a governed AI orchestration layer for regulated client lifecycle management. In addition, Freehand raised $75 million to scale AI teams focused on supply chain spend management. Therefore, CXOs must look beyond individual product announcements. In this webinar, we connect these developments to broader enterprise software trends. We also examine their implications for enterprise AI strategy, digital transformation, enterprise architecture, software selection, and technology investment decisions.
